Long before the Z125 there was the 1982 AR80-A1. Online sources state that the reed valve two-stroke motor and lightweight chassis combined for somewhat respectable performance.
There was also a smaller version in the 1982 AR50-A1 (do not possess brochure). Neither of which we ever actually had in the dealership. Another bike we received brochures for but no actual bike was the 1990 KLR650-B2 Tengai (future post).
The smallest GPz. The 1983 EX305-B1 was a 2-cylinder entry-level sportbike with belt drive. The earlier A model was the chain drive version.
The 1982 KZ550-H2 GPz550 will be featured in an upcoming post.
In case you are interested, as of this post there are still a couple copies of the brochures shown above available on my eBay page https://www.ebay.com/usr/kawasaki-yama-zuki.
Thanks for looking. Gary / kawasaki-yama-zuki
