Muzzy's Screen Saver, 1995 Suzuki Cards

Greetings,

The first item for review today is something that was likely rare even back in 1997 when it came out. Team MUZZY slideshow screen saver (on 2 floppy discs). Doug Chandler on the cover. This was ordered directly from Muzzy's (I think).

Back in those days I had it running on my home computer. But today, it's all but useless unless I come up with a working Win95/98 32-bit computer to attempt an install. Actually, I have a PC that should work--just not an older monitor that it will drive. I know running it now is really a waste of time--that feature is native to Windows and the floppy files will be ultra low-res--I just want to see what pictures were included and relive a couple minutes of the good old days. Until then I'll stick with the hundreds of high-res modern files,.... while using my vintage motorsports mouse pad.

The mouse pad was a gift and there is no brand name on it so I do not know the source.

Web results on these is very limited. It doesn't seem that the company is still business. A gourmet nut seller is currently at the address on the box. There doesn't seem to have been a Series II. These are beautiful cards so it is a shame.

1992 Suzuki GSXR & Katana Sales Brochure (USA)

So, I was digging in the "archives" this week. A box I haven't been in at least 15 years anyway. Came up with some Suzuki brochures that might be worth a look.

Most of my brochures are of the standard 8.5" x 11" variety so they are all in pages in binders. These early 90s Suzuki's are 11" x 11" so without pages and a binder that size they end up out-of-sight, out-of-mind. They deserve to be admired.

First post selection is the 1992 Sport Bike brochure featuring the GSX600F, GSX750F, and GSX1100F Katanas as well as the GSX-R750 and GSX-R1100.

BlogSpot display limitations being what they are these deserve a real full-size view so links are also below.

1992 GSX-R600W Suzuki Brochures & Bonus

There was a lot of excitement when these came out. First of all they are GSXRs. Second it was the first year for a 600cc GIXXXER. And third they just look so damn good. Classic GSXR superbike lines and amazing graphics (in my opinion).







The 1992 GSX-R600W came out just about the same time we got the Suzuki franchise so it was very much new and special for us. Hard to believe they are already about 30 years old and "Vintage." I wonder if anyone that we sold one to still has it? The GSX-R600W was not announced at the same time as the other 1992 models were so the brochure for this model only got a single page treatment. At least Suzuki cared enough to produce a brochure for each color--a nice large studio picture suitable for framing. The rear "spec" side is the same for both colors. SCORE. More digging and I rediscovered a cool 13x20 poster of the GIXXER 6.
