Scott Russell 1992 Daytona 200 Victory Jacket Dealer Ad Slick

What happens when a Daytona 200 race, last lap, and finish is so close and exciting? It gets remembered. Kawasaki employed Hein Gerick to create a limited editon leather to commemorate the final second of this epic finish. Didn't see the race or don't remember how closely contested the race was between Doug Polen (#23 Ducati) and Scott Russell (#17 Kawasaki)? Relive the final moments here:

And that is how one earns the title MR DAYTONA.

The jacket came with a certificate of limited production that was signed by Scott Russell and race team leader Rob Muzzy. MSRP was $259.95. I can confirm this was a very nice, high quality jacket but no longer possess mine as I sold off some of my leathers when I moved to Florida.

Thanks for looking. Gary  /  kawasaki-yama-zuki
